We 100% believe that Vitamin D plays a huge role in staying healthy- especially during the winter months with all those bugs and flus going around. You can easily find gel caps to take or you can also find vitamin D drops. We take the capsules, and give our daughter drops in her milk. Something so simple.... we believe makes all the difference! Is a UTI TMI??
This weekend I had a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) turning into or already a bladder infection....very painful, I had to pee all the time, and I had blood in my pee! (TMI?? Sorry!)
My Hubby bought me D-Mannose, a supplement used to promote a healthy urinary tract. I took it on Saturday and within 24 hours I was just about healed! It was amazing! I know UTI's can be common for woman, so I had to share. We got it from Whole Foods, it cost about $27- but way worth it as I did not have to pay a co-pay to see a Doctor, then pay for a prescription, not to mention the time it would take to have an appointment. An antibiotic would have killed the harmful bacteria I had (the infection), but also all the good bacteria too (what fights off illness). With the D-Mannose, my UTI is gone and I still have all the good bacteria I need in my body to fight off sickness. Just blows my mind, it's way cool!!! Here's a link with info on D-Mannose:

And here's to no more UTI's!!! :)

Last Week I Cleaned Out My Pantry...

Last week I cleaned out my pantry. I threw away 3 full grocery bags of junk. Jelly beans from Easter, pudding cups, Crisco, candy, packaged cookies, and so many other things I can't even remember. Why throw away perfectly good things (minus the stale jelly beans!)? Because there are way too many people in my life suffering from disease. I want to make a change. It breaks my heart to see so many people suffering or losing loved ones, and if I can be any example or can help an average person learn what it takes to live healthily, then the 'sacrifices' are not sacrifices at all. That is why I created this blog. Hopefully you can gain something from it, and also take the time to throw away the junk in your pantry. I'm tired of seeing people die from cancer. It's about time we make a change.
